The Chiang Mai Mail is a weekly Thai newspaper published in English. First established in 2002, the Chiang Mai Mail was Chiang Mai’s first English language newspaper and covers news and events in Chiang Mai and Northern Thailand.

Although Chiang Mai is Thailand’s 2nd city, news coverage of the Northern area in English was somewhat scanty until the launch of the Chiang Mai Mail. The National English language dailies concentrating more on events in Bangkok.

The Chiang Mai Mail, in addition to covering local news and politics, also has sections on sport, entertainment, social scene and local business as well as a classified section. Whilst containing much of interest to the tourist, the strength of the Chiang Mai Mail is providing news and information to the large expat community in Chiang Mai and Northern Thailand.
