The Thai Star known as Goh Tee (Kohtee) is one of Thailand’s most loved comedians. Goh Tee ( โก๊ะตี๋) was born Jaroernpohn Onlamai on the 31st December 1980 and attended the Wat Phra It primary school in the central Thai province of Ang Thong
where he acquired the nickname of Goh Tee because of his topknot hairstyle with pigtail known in Thailand as Pohm Goh, a popular hairstyle among Thai children. Goh tee had an excellent academic record and went on to study at the Pho Thong Jindamanee High School, also in Ang Thong province. Unfortunately, having been led into bad behaviour by some friends, Goh Tee was not allowed to sit the exam and after just 2 years he ran away from home to stay for a time at a Likay (Thai Musical Folk) workshop. Goh Tee then moved to Phichit to assist his older sister selling vegetables. To make ends meet, Goh Tee did some Likay singing whereupon an adviser persuaded him to seek out a respected Monk to get advice and assistance with his future.
At the age of 14, Goh Tee began his professional career working with the well known Thai comedian Eddie Phi Narak, and became known as Goh Tee Phi Narak before changing his name to Goh Tee Aramboy. After achieving fame for his parts in Thai comedy movies, Goh Tee left this group and set up his own comedy group.
Goh Tee had promised himself that if he could not make a success of his career in comedy, he would ordain to become a Monk for the rest of his life. However, all has worked out well for Goh Tee and he is now one of the most respected and most loved comedians in Thailand.
Goh Tee has starred in over 20 movies including Goh Tee Weeraburud Aramboy, The Ghost and Master Boh and The Magnificent Five, has taken part in several concerts, appeared in historical dramas, hosted Concerts and Talk Shows on Thai television and has even recorded a Music album.
