Perhaps the most controversial Thai film to date will finally be released on 18th March 2010. In the Shadow of the Naga ( Nak Prok) has spent 3 years battling with censorship and only obtained a license for its release after the new rating system for Thai films was introduced. In the Shadow of the Naga or Nak Prok as it is titled in Thai, is rated 18+, with warnings throughout at some of the most violent scenes, and 20+ without the warnings.

The film stars Somchai Kemklad, Pitisak Yaowanon, Ray MacDonald, and Inthira Charoenpura and is directed by Phawat Panangkasiri. Despite the adult ratings of this Thai Film, Nak Prok is almost certain to provoke protests because of the content of the film. The plot is basically about 3 villains who hide their loot in a Buddhist Temple. In order to retrieve the stolen goods, the three men dress as Monks leading to violent scenes showing the Monk impostors toting guns and using strong language.
