Dhamma Kancana Vipassana Meditation Center – Kanchanaburi » Thai Guide To Thailand

The Dhamma Kancana Vipassana Meditation Center is in the Thailand Province of Kanchanaburi. Dhamma Kancana offers bilingual courses in Vipassana Meditation as taught by S.N.Goenka and the 10 day courses offered form an ideal introductory course to Vipassana Meditation and techniques. There are tapes available so that whichever language you speak you will still be able to follow and understand the course.

Kindly note that 10 days is the minimum stay for all the meditation courses at Dhamma Kancana and as with many of the Meditation Centers in Thailand registration is essential.

Registration and orientation takes place between 2pm and 4pm the day before the courses begin so you will receive a full 10 days meditation. Registration for any of the courses can and should be made online as otherwise there may be a delay in answering correspondence. Generally, there are 2 courses held every month and registration is compulsory. Occasionally, one of the courses may be for native Thai speakers only so check the schedule.

All instructors at Dhamma Kancana work without payment and there is also no payment charged for their courses. However, as your course will have been paid for by the voluntary donations others have made and to ensure that others may benefit from these courses in the future, a generous donation would be gratefully accepted. Chairs will be provided for those who may have difficulty sitting cross legged, either because of age or a physical disability.
