I was so amazed at the wealth of information on Thai Lifestyle and Culture freely given out by many Expats in these forums, some of whom have been living here for as long as 3 months, that I decided to do my own in-depth investigation into the Lifestyle and Culture of the average male Expat living in Thailand

There are more than 12000 road deaths in Thailand every year caused by drivers over the limit. During the Songkran Festival alone, there are around 600 road deaths with 41% caused by an excess of alcohol. In a study carried out 14 years ago, out of nearly 5000 drivers, 12.6% were found to have a BAC above the legal limit.

It’s not everyday you get the chance to see 10000 Buddhist Monks all together in Chiang Mai or anywhere else for that matter. The Buddhist Monks gathered to collect alms on a massive scale and this has become an annual event in Chiang Mai. This year, the alms collected were to be distributed among the people in the South of Thailand who have been suffering the effects of political conflict for several years.
